Dalboz of Gurth was the third Dungeon Master. He was imprisoned in a lamp by Mir Yannick, The Grand Inquisitor. He graduated from GUE Tech in the Class of 966 GUE.
In 1050 GUE, Dalboz confronted his former classmate, Mir Yannick, and was killed during the battle. His spirit ended up living inside an old lamp, which was discovered by AFGNCAAP in 1067 GUE. Dalboz assisted AFGNCAAP in bringing down the Inquisition government, and in doing so, his spirit was freed from the lamp by a bolt of lightning, and moved on to the Ethereal Plane of Atrii. His final act was to pass on the title of Dungeon Master to AFGNCAAP.
He is voiced by Michael McKean in Zork: Grand Inquisitor. Throughout most of the game, Dalboz acts as the player's companion, providing commentary, hints and jokes.

- Dalboz is seemingly capable of entering Time Tunnels through the Yastard spell, but refuses, saying he has already tried the whole time travel thing.
- Casting Lidibo on Dalboz after Booznik is cast will have him respond by calling you uglier than before.
